173rd Fighter Wing did a new special livery on a F-15C. The unit is part of the Oregon Air National Guard, stationed at Kingsley Field Air National Guard Base, Klamath Falls, Oregon. On the 18th of July there will be an event called “Sentry Eagle 2020 Open House”, where the jet will be flying hopefully. But sure there will be other oportunities to see this good looking F-15C this year.
173rd Fighter Wing at Kingsley Field ANG Base brought an F-15C to Edwards Air Force Base for a Heritage paint job. The paint scheme was to commemorate David R. Kingsley who received the Medal of Honor for his sacrifice during World War II. He saved the lives of his aircrew when the B-17 he was on board was shot down during battle. Edwards AFB was able to assist the 173rd by providing a larger paint booth for the volume of work the AMXS team was planning.
