Dutch Heli Day – 2019

On Saturday 3rd of August the Dutch Heli Day will be held for the second time in Stroe on the Veluwe. It is expected that around 20 helicopters from the Netherlands and abroad will be present on the day. A special participant is a helicopter from the Czech Air Force.

A former Alouette III air force helicopter, recently purchased by Heliflight, is also taking part in the static show. The program also provides an avia market, vintage car tractors and a bouncy castle for the children.

As the organisers announce:

The Dutch Heli Day is an initiative of Joint Helicopter Pilots (JHP), the association of helicopter pilots in the Netherlands. The purpose of the day is to introduce the helicopter world to the people with interest. Visitors can combine their visit to the helicopter event with the harvest festival on the grounds of De Kruif Machines. The first Dutch Heli Day took place in 2013. Despite the poor weather, about 3,500 visitors came to the Heli Day.

The program for the second Dutch Heli Day is as follows:

  • 11.00-13.00: arrival of the helicopters
  • 13.30-16.00: opening of the landing area to the public, the pilots explain their helis
  • 3:00 pm to 4:00 pm: demonstration helicopter scale models
  • 16: 00-17: 00: departure of helicopters
  • 5 pm: end of the program

The Dutch Heli Day is free of charge.

The location is Stroeërweg 46, Stroe.

Weather and technical conditions could change the event and obtaining the necessary permits.
