Acrobatic group from the Italian Air Force “Frecce Tricolori” will visit on the 22nd of March, 2017, the 93. Air Force Base of the Croatian Air Force and Air Defense at Zadar/Zemunik.
This will be the first time that an international aviation demo team will visit Zadar Air base for a training session. This is a result of the cooperation between the two nations demo team, “Wings of Storm” and “Frecce Tricolori” and according to the morh.hr website, both team will end up in a joint flight and training program for the preparation of the coming season.
According to the Ministry of Defence of the Croatian Republic website, on the 22nd of March 2017, above the waterfront of Zadar, the demo team “Frecce Tricolori” will carry out training flights, and visitors will have the opportunity to see one of their training for the 2017 season, which will last for almost 30 minutes.
On the same day, the base will celebrate its 25th anniversary, the planned program will include several planes and helicopters, and also the demo team “Wings of Storm”.
The leader of “Wings of Storm” Colonel Damir Barisic pointed out:
“I am very pleased that for the first time in Zadar we can host one of the world’s most famous acrobatic team,of the Italian Air Force Frecce Tricolori. For the first time we have together participated was in the airshow ROIAS 2006 in Romania, which was also the first international performance of the “Wings of Storm “.” Frecce Tricolori “and “Wings of Storm “together will rehearse their programs for the season 2017, and both demo team’s pilots will have the opportunity to fly with their colleagues during the training flights,” said Colonel Barisic.

The air program will start around 12:15 and will last till 14:00 (planed). Only the Frecce Tricolori and the Krilja Oluje will do a dynamic program.
