The Aeronautica Militare has a new special painted Tornado

The aircraft was painted to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the 311° Gruppo (Squadron) of the RSV (Reparto Sperimentale Volo) which is the Test Wing of the Italian Air Force (Aeronautica Militare). The unit’ main response inside the air force is testing and validation of all the flying “hardware”that is planed to put in to all jets and planes used by the Air Force.

On Oct. 27, the Italian Air Force officially rolled out a Tornado IDS in a special livery at Pratica di Mare airbase, near Rome, Italy.

We are hoping that next year we could see the Tornado at airshows in Europe!
