Croatian International Military Air Show – CROIMAS is planned to be held at 30th of May this year, commemorating the Statehood Day of the Republic of Croatia, the 25th anniversary of the Croatian Air Force, the 29th anniversary of the formation of the Croatian Army and the 15th anniversary of the formation of the “Wings of the Storm” aerobatic team, and The Republic of Croatia holds the Presidency of the European Union for the first time.
There are no information on postponement or cancellation so far, it’s still more than two months until the event, but if the Croation Ministry of Defence makes a decision because of the Coronavirus is still threatening Europe we will inform you about it.
Until then, lest see the first, very impressive list of participants of CROIMAS 2020 airshow!
Austrian Air Force will send a SAAB-105ÖE from Fighter Trainer Squadron for solo display to CROIMAS 2020.
As we reported before in the schedule announcement: the Belgian Air Component will send the Dark Falcon, the F-16 Solo Display Team to Zadar.
As the host, the Croatian Air Force will show every type with displays during the airshow. The list of the confirmed displays by the Croatian Air Force:
The Krila Oluje (Wings of Storm with six PC-9M)
Air Tractor AT-802 (Aerial Firefighting)
Canadair CL-415 (Aerial Firefighting)
Royal Danish Air Force will be presented by a solo display of the F-16AM Fighting Falcon.
French Air Force plan to send the Patrouille de France aerobatic display team flying with nine Dassault Dornier Alpha Jet E jet trainer aircraft.
Hungarian Air Force is a regular visitor on almost every significant Croatian airshow, and this year of course will also send a JAS-39C EBS-HU Gripen to perform solo display over Zadar.
Italian Air Force confirmed to send the Frecce Tricolori display team to CROIMAS 2020. The team made joint training last April with the Krila Oluje at their home base in Zadar, so the Team can also return to Croatia this year with their Aeromacchi MB-339PANs.
Slovak Air Force preparing for an international display-debut with their Sikorsky UH-60M Black Hawk helicopter. The first two UH-60Ms were delivered in June 2017 and by January 2020 the Slovak Air Force has received nine UH-60Ms.
From the neighbor, the Croatian audience will see the solo display of the Pilatus PC-9M Swift (“Hudournik”) light attack / trainer aircraft from the Slovenian Air Force and Air Defence.
It was already known that the Swiss Air Force confirmed to participate on CROIMAS 2020 with the famous Patrouille Suisse display team flying with six F-5E Tiger II aircraft.
It’s also sure that the Hellenic and the Polish Air Force also indicated its intention to participate, but no type confirmed to participate at the moment.
