Hungarian Air Force has fewer appearances in recent years, this is due to the fact that Kecskemet Airshow has not been organized since 2013. In the year of any Kecskemet Airshow the Hungarian Air Force always send its fighters for dynamic displays. Of course these appearances are depends on the international missions too, in this year one part of the Hungarian Air Force’s Puma Squadron will role Baltic air-policing mission, NATO air defence Quick Reaction Alert (QRA) in order to guard the airspace over the three Baltic states of Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania.
Hungarian Air Force have plans at the moment for visit three international events in Europe:
- 26-27 of July – International Air Show, Siauliai (LTU) (at this time the Air Force will do the BAP in the airport)
- 24-25 of August – Slovak International Air Fest 2019” Sliac (SVK)
- 21-22 of September – NATO Days Ostrava (CZE)
The Hungarian Ministry of Defence also informed us that the plans for the season may change during the year, according to the invitations and the current possibilities.
In connection of the aircraft and display types, we were told that such details will be available later. The Hungarian Air Force is under a huge development process and several new types were ordered in the past, like the Airbus Helicopters H145M or the H225M, and a new tactical military transport type will be announced shortly. Some new aicrafts and helicopters were overhauled or recently acquired, like the Mi-24 the Airbus A-319 or the Dassault Falcon 7X.
