The organizers of the Czech International Air Fest have recently released the first official information related to the programme of the 2018 edition of the airshow.
According to the news published on both their webpage and Facebook profile, the Ukrainian Air Force would again participate in the airshow, with the Su-27 Flankers and Ilyushin Il-76 (as the supporting aircraft).
We dare to say that UkrAF is a frequent visitor to the CIAF airshow, both Su-27 and Il-76 were also participating in the 2017 edition – previously it was announced that the Ukrainian team would consist of Su-27, Su-24 and Il-76, but a few days before the show the participation of Su-24 was cancelled due to technical issues. The second Flanker, two-seat Su-27UB was sent as the replacement and could be seen at the static display.
The Ukrainian fighters are always receiving a great deal of attention, as currently they are the only aircrafts of the Su-27 family regularly visiting the airshows in the Central and Western Europe.
The 25th edition of Czech International Air Fest will be organized on 1st and 2nd September 2018 at Hradec Kralove airport.
